Goal

Its 1:13am, a Sunday morning. I just finished watching a video in Youtube.

I like watching football and i have started to like the game from recent times. I like the game where i can see a player take the ball through the 2 or 3 opponents (if you see the above video you would understand what i am talking about). Messi plays that way. As i watched this video i was thinking, what makes these 2 players great? Is it their talent or is it their hard work? How do they play so well? Whats going on in their head while they are trying to take a shot? Do they think at all? Is it all adrenaline? I have NO clue. I play, but not like them. So No clue.

But here is what my thought process was while i watched the video. Messi is small. Ronaldinho looks strong.   Both have become successful. Both should have been picked up by some manager for the first time who gave them a big break. Both must have been rejected at some point. May be several times. Both must have sacrificed. Both must have to wake up early morning reach the place to be trained to reach the place where they are today. Even when they have practiced a particular skill a thousand times and they are THE BEST in it, they still work on it every morning. Even when its a routine, even when they are in no mood for it, You just got to do what you got to do. This routine teaches your body to know where the ball is even without looking at it directly. You get few years to play a game that you LOVE, if you want to make it big, you have to give it ALL.

GIVE IT ALL. Practice makes your body or mind to be natural in it. You don't have to think much. All the efforts you put in practice makes you put less effort while you use this skill. You dribble the ball slow at times and sometimes fast, keeping your eyes always on the goal. Dribble the ball, tackle the opponents to get through them. Give your energy, give your heart and soul to make it work. Opponents WILL tackle, push you to your limits. Sometimes you fight back, sometimes you just change the direction and take it forward. Sometimes you pass the ball to your team member who you think can help. Sometimes you WILL lose the ball, but you don't stop running. You just have to get the ball back again from the opponents. When its time for you to strike, you STRIKE. Make the effort count. It might be stopped, but you don't stop striking again. You got to strike it again, and again, and again, and again. until the final whistle is blown.

The point is this, they have seen failures but never lost hope. No matter how the game is, no matter how strong the opponent is, focus is not moved. When they move with the ball probably here is what they do, fight the opponents, change the direction but ever moving towards goal, take that strike and Hope you stroke  right, Hope that its not stopped, hope that it reaches its goal.

I wish I was as dedicated as these guys are, I wish I could give my all in everything I do, I wish I tackle it right, I wish I keeping pressing forward, I wish I strike, and strike it well, I wish it reaches its goal and I wish the final whistle is not blown. Mostly I wish i never lose Hope.

2 peter 1: 5-8 - 'But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.'

LOVE -a blessing

Why do they do that? What is it that they see in that ONE person? I have always wondered about this. Its so difficult to reason it out logically. I think there is no logical reasoning or critical thinking you can do on such matters. This is Love, true Love, unconditional one. They just Love you for no reason. We may not be beautiful to the world but we are the most beautiful one for them, we may not be SMART or COOL or GREAT but they find us to be the smartest and in our little achievements they rejoice the most. We may not be good enough for all the Love but the way we are treated would definitely make us feel special about ourselves.

Have you felt special? Have you seen Love in a person's eyes?

How many have you promised to stay connected? To how many have to said you will be there for them? To how many have you said NO matter what... you will be friends. Have you kept your promises? Have your friends kept theirs?......Its easy to promise in words but very difficult to keep it and it takes conscious effort. When you don't stick together it doesn't mean that your relationship wasn't great, nor does it mean it wasn't fun. Most of the times you don't have a reason why you drift apart from that person. But if there is a person who is still in touch with you and they have put their efforts to make sure to stay connected 'No matter what...' it just means you are too special for them to let go of you. These are the people who Love you no matter how you reciprocate. The image of you in their head would never change, and these are the ones who would think of you, care for you, worry about you and love you forever. These are the ones who would always prioritize you.  These are the ones who want to spend time with you. They would go an extra mile to just spend time that 1 extra minute with you just you. These are the ones who never take you for granted. These i call 'FRIENDS'.. the best and the ultimate ones.

This Love is simple and pure. This brings peace. A mother can show such Love so can a Father, sometimes its friends and if you are lucky enough that person would be your partner. But we should never miss out on such people, never ignore them, even when we cannot Love them back as much as they Love us the least we can do is appreciate it.

Such Love isn't easy and its not natural to everyone. Most us love people around us with conditions. If we all are able to LOVE one person unconditionally we should call ourselves blessed. Its a blessing to know the feeling of being selfless. I'm still trying my best to be able to be selfless. Its a tough task. The purpose of this life is to LOVE. A greater Love God showed us and asked us to spread this to people around us. This is the only thing we need to do in life -to be selfless in Love- to all. This is the simplest thing God expects from us and the toughest thing to do as humans.


Jeremiah 31:3 says - 'I have loved you with an everlasting Love'.

I wish each one of you to be blessed to be a blessing. Spread LOVE.

My Prayer

This is a prayer i had written long long back. It gives me a sense of purpose and tells me what are the important things in life - God, love, friends and family.


Praise you LORD!

I want to see you smile from the things I do
I want to create a world around me full of you
I want to take my every step with you
knowing that you are holding my hand and taking me home.

Oh LORD! I can't do it alone
I need you and your spirit to wrap me in your love,
to fill me with your strength, to renew my spirit everyday.
That I would walk in faith, that i would do my part to make

Coherence

Friend: 'Good Coherence'.

Me: Ah?

Coherence means properly ordered. My vocabulary sucks big time. Each time a friend uses one such word i ask them back the meaning of it and that's how i now know the meaning of word coherence. I'm sure i will forget this and soon go 'ah?' next time someone uses it. Well that's not my point here today.

Good Coherence was the review of my friend on my previous blogs. Its been a long time since i even remembered this blog and today it happens to come before my eyes in a really weird situation. When i read through my blog again i felt ‘NICE’ and sometimes its 'NICE' to feel just ‘NICE’. So decided to put some thoughts on this one.

Now i want to go back to Coherence and if i do so would the review still hold good? Let me know Mr.Reviewer.

When i learnt that my previous blogs was coherent i was glad. I'm not a very disciplined person. So keeping things in order is not a habit nor does it come naturally to me. Recently when i came back to Galway I decided to set my cloths in order. And i did. Each time i open those doors and find it in order, i feel proud of it. Everything is in place for more than a week now and hope it continues. Trust me, this is something I'm really proud of. Back home I would have ruined it in a week and stated 'Chaos leads to Order'. You can google for 'Chaos leads to..' and find the first predictive search that comes up. But this time I'm trying my best to keep it in order. I'm trying to be '27' i guess. This time i want to be disciplined, this time i want to take efforts, this time i want to be conscious of it, this time I WILL DO IT and this time few verses are my inspiration.
